  • Total Time: 1 hour 55 minutes
  • Yield: 12 cinnamon rolls 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons instant dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk (about 110°F)
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups peaches, fresh or canned, sliced
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Combine 1 cup warm milk (about 110°F), 2 teaspoons instant dry yeast, and 2 tablespoons sugar in a medium bowl; let sit 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Stir in 2 tablespoons melted butter, 1 beaten egg, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, and 3 cups all-purpose flour until dough just begins to form.
  3. Turn dough onto a floured surface and knead 5–7 minutes until smooth and elastic, adding flour if too sticky; shape into a ball.
  4. Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm spot about 1 hour until doubled in size.
  5. Slice 2 cups peaches and toss with 1/3 cup brown sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon until evenly coated.
  6. Punch down the risen dough and roll it out on a floured surface to a 16×12-inch rectangle.
  7. Spread the peach mixture evenly over the dough.
  8. Roll the dough tightly from one long edge into a log, pinch the seam to seal, and cut into 12 equal rolls using a sharp knife or unflavored dental floss.
  9. Grease a baking dish, place the rolls cut-side up, cover with a towel, and let rise 30 minutes while preheating the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  10. Bake the rolls at 350°F (175°C) for about 25 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
  11. Beat 4 ounces softened cream cheese with 1 cup powdered sugar until smooth and creamy to make the frosting.
  12. Let the rolls cool a few minutes, then drizzle the cream cheese frosting over the warm rolls.
